For over twenty-one months, two cabins designated for the Prime Minister have lain in the Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex in Gopalganj. However, the Prime Minister's name is left out of the cabin. Two cabin rooms have been shuttered for months on end, which has infuriated the regular patients.
On the south side of the Upazila Health Complex's fourth floor are the two cabins. Patients and their families are complaining that the two cabins remain closed as of August 5, even after the Awami League administration fell. By opening the two rooms, the authorities have not yet taken any action to raise the standard of care provided to the patients.
Going to the surface on Friday, it was found that the writing 'honorable prime minister's designated cabin' was written in front of two cabin rooms on the south side of the fourth floor of the upazila health complex. According to local residents, this is the cabin designated for former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, after the inauguration of this health center, Sheikh Hasina has visited Kotalipara upazila several times. But he never came to take health care or rest in the prescribed cabin of this upazila health center. But why this designated cabin for him is the question of common patients now.
It is believed that on January 7, 2023, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina officially opened the 100-bed Kotalipara Upazila Complex's new structure, which was constructed by the Directorate of Health and Engineering. Since the day of the inauguration, the prime minister has had two cabin rooms set aside for him. Kajulia Village's Upazila Health Complex will accept service. No prime minister, past or present, would ever come here for medical attention, according to Mamun. Therefore, it is incorrect to designate two cabin rooms in this manner. We pay a certain price to stay in cabins.
In that instance, the closure of the two cabin rooms resulted in thousands of rupees' worth of lost revenue for the government. I ask that the two cabin rooms be opened as quickly as feasible by the authorities. According to the health department's regulations, such cabins are set aside for them at each upazila health center in the region of the president and prime minister of the nation, according to Kotalipara Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mridul Kumar Das.
As a result, Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister, was given the name of two cabin rooms here. As he is no longer prime minister, the issue will be decided at the upcoming Upazil Health Care meeting.
