In this context, Barisal University Associate Professor Sanjay Sarkar said, 'We believe that the present Vice-Chancellor will take the university forward with the ideals of mass uprising. He will play a generous, neutral and logical role in Bobby.
He said, "Let's hope that the current vice-chancellor will adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards the people who, along with the deposed vice-chancellor, have threatened and harassed the teachers and students who participated in and supported the mass uprising from various responsibilities of the university. We do not want to see any person who is controversial and not student friendly in any position in the university.
When asked about the complaint, the newly appointed vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Suchita Sharmin told Ajker Patrika, "I have never signed any statement in my life. I am embarrassed by such false allegations.
He said, 'I was directly present with the anti-discrimination student movement. At the time of joining, I did not know which group of teachers were the ones who received me in the university. It will take time to understand this matter.
Regarding the objections of the students, the newly appointed vice-chancellor said that the students came to him and said that many of them were against the anti-discrimination student movement.
